Good Practice Compendium

The Welcome Work Good Practice Compendium has been developed by the Welcome Work team to educate employers in the construction industry on how to create welcoming work environments for refugees.

This comprehensive resource will help employers better understand refugees, support them, and practice inclusion in the workplace.

We have handpicked 18 best practices from across Europe that are making a difference in this industry. These examples share the experiences of employers, refugees, community organizations, and public policy or national schemes. Our explainer articles cover “hard” topics such as refugee rights, legal frameworks, and skills evaluations. Moreover, we have “soft” topics addressing linguistic support and cultural assimilation. The Step by Steps Ezines navigates for construction organizations how to best integrate, include, and support refugee employees in their companies.

Our Welcome Work Good Practice Compendium is an interactive digital resource designed to be used individually in the learner’s own time, but also by educators in educational settings.
