Kick-off meeting of the Welcome Work project in Szczecin

Our first transnational meeting brought together partners from Momentum, Halage, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, First Rung and EUEI. Held in July 2024, the meeting took place in Szczecin and was hosted by our lead partner, Career Plus.

Over the course of the visit, the group engaged in focused discussions and collaborative work sessions to drive the project forward. Alongside the core work, partners also developed a number of creative promotional activities to help raise awareness of the project at both local and international levels.

As part of the programme, we visited a construction company based in the Posejdon office building – a modern, energy-efficient site built to near zero-emission standards. Another highlight was a specially prepared cake featuring the project logo, made by a Ukrainian migrant running a construction-focused employment agency in Szczecin. Her story was a powerful example of resilience, entrepreneurship and integration.

The meeting was a valuable opportunity for exchange – full of productive work, new ideas, practical insights and memorable moments.
